Just 2 miles (3.2 km) from York's city centre, the Middlethorpe Hall hotel and spa offers a great location, as well as lovely rooms and facilities. Built in 1699, Middlethorpe Hall is an original William III country house. It has been fully restored and is now carefully decorated with antiques and fine pictures. The gardens and parkland have also been restored and include a white garden, a walled garden, a small lake and some beautiful trees.
Now part of the National Trust, all profits of the hotel are donated to the charity.
The comfortable and fully-equipped bedrooms, all individually decorated, are located both in the house and in the 18th century courtyard next to it. There are several room types, ranging from single rooms to a deluxe suite in the main house.
Rooms are individually designed, so the hotel cannot guarantee that you will be allocated one of the pictured rooms - Spa treatments should be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment
